“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” — H. L. Mencken
The presidential election of Donald Trump is a gigantic middle-finger to the US corporate-government from a large minority of Americans who tend to be white. However, be careful of what you wish for. During ancient and medieval feudalism, the ruling lords squabbled with each other on how to rule over the commoners. No matter which lord won, the commoners were still under feudal lords. Autocrat Hillary Clinton is a crooked politician, but plutocrat Donald Trump is a business con-artist.
America needs a lot less majority tyranny, and a lot more Bill of Rights.
Before his presidential campaign, Trump obtained and inherited a vast fortune from his father. Trump then used insider deals and revolving doors to repeatedly exploit bankruptcies, privatize his large gains and socialize his even larger losses, and live like a feudal lord with a series of gold-digging wives and promiscuous women. Trump claimed he went to a physically tough high school and is a great athlete, but he used multiple university deferments and a medical excuse (e.g., wimpy feet) to dodge the Vietnam draft (even though he could have used a moral argument). In addition, Trump dishonestly claimed he escaped the draft, because had a high draft number. Trump needs ghostwriters to write books for him, but Trump falsely claims he is the sole author or main author. Flash forward to the present day.
2016 President-elect Trump’s words of greatest factual wisdom:
“I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”
“I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”
“Our African-American communities are absolutely in the worst shape they've ever been in before in America. Ever. Ever. Ever.”
“I have a great relationship with the blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the blacks. But unfortunately, it seems that, you know, the numbers you cite [e.g., Trump’s low support from black voters] are very, very frightening numbers.”
“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”
“The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
“China steals United States Navy research drone in international waters – rips it out of water and takes it to China in unpresidented [sic] act.”
“Listen, you motherfuckers [i.e., China], we’re going to tax you 25 percent!”
“If I were running ‘The View’, I’d fire Rosie O’Donnell. I mean, I’d look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say ‘Rosie, you’re fired.’”
“Nobody cares about the talent [in beauty pageants]. There’s only one talent you care about, and that’s the look talent. You don’t give a shit if a girl can play a violin like the greatest violinist in the world. You want to know what does she look like.”
“All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”
“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”
“I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
“I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll supply funds and she’ll take care of the kids. It’s not like I’m gonna be walking the kids down Central Park. Well, Marla used to say, ‘I can’t believe you’re not walking Tiffany down the street,’ you know, in a carriage. Right, I’m gonna be walking down Fifth Avenue with a baby in a carriage. It just didn’t work.”
“I’ve won many club championships and I was always the best athlete. But I’ve won many a club championship. It’s something that people don’t know unless they are with me and have played with me.”
“In the second grade I actually gave a teacher a black eye — I punched my music teacher because I didn’t think he knew anything about music and I almost got expelled.”
Here are Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign promises:
Like Obama, Trump panders nonstop to certain crowds of people: “’I will give you everything.’ Here are 282 of Donald Trump’s campaign promises.” (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/i-will-give-you-everything-here-are-282-of-donald-trumps-campaign-promises/2016/11/24/01160678-b0f9-11e6-8616-52b15787add0_story.html?utm_term=.97b5279136c0). Read all 282 of Trump’s presidential plans.
Some of Trump’s campaign promises conflict with each other (e.g., keep minimum wage, raise minimum wage, and let states decide on minimum wages). Trump wants to gradually decrease federal spending plus hire a lot more border patrol agents and ICE agents and create a new deportation agency. He will decrease the number of legal immigrants, because they take jobs away from Americans. However, he will increase the number of legal immigrants who are worthy enough to contribute to the economy (e.g., the highly educated immigrant and cheap-labor immigrants).
Some of them are highly debatable. He claimed he never settles a dispute and never will as the American president, because he is an unstoppable winner, but he has a history of settling disputes. He boasted he will never take a presidential vacation, but he has a history of living an extravagant lifestyle. Trump insisted he will put huge taxes (e.g., 35%) and tariffs (e.g., 45%) on imports from China, Mexico, and other nations, but he will import cheap drugs from foreign sources. Trump plans to greatly lower taxes, jack up the size of the military, create the best medical service for veterans, and eliminate the national debt. Trump said he will change the US Constitution by ending birthright citizenship.
Trump proclaimed he will start a trade war and military war with China. He will increase talk with North Korea’s government, heighten tensions with Iran, and greatly strengthen relations with Israel such as moving the US embassy to Jerusalem (I.e., recognize Jerusalem as an official and exclusive part of Israel). He will force other Middle Eastern nations such as Saudi Arabia to take care of Syria’s refugees, because America will only accept an extremely small number of refugees who have been thoroughly examined.
Some of Trump’s presidential goals can never be done due to time constraints and other real-world restrictions (e.g., he said he will be the healthiest president of all time). He plans to build an impenetrable and impassable wall and surveillance between the US and Mexico. Trump thinks getting rid of many environmental laws will make America great again. Trump reaffirmed his crusade against abortion, but he will take good care of women, because he cherishes them. He will get legal revenge on all of the women and people who falsely accused him of sexual harassment and sexual assault.
Trump declared he will get rid of poverty and violence in America’s inner cities. Trump announced he will be so good for Hispanic Americans and black Americans. He bragged, “And at the end of four years, I guarantee you that I will get over 95 percent of the African American vote. I promise you. Because I will produce.” Trump remarked he will expand and entrench the police state, popularize “stop and frisk,” and get rid of all gangs.
A political system based on mythology is increasingly outdated for an advancing civilization.
On 2017 January 20 (Fri), at Trump’s presidential inauguration in Washington, DC, there will be more or less 28,000 security personnel (e.g., police, Secret Service, Coast Guard, and TSA) plus around 7,800 National Guard troops to strictly restrain approximately 3 square miles of land and vastly larger airspace: “Security Will Be Massive At Trump's Inauguration” (http://www.npr.org/2017/01/15/509721596/security-will-be-massive-at-trumps-inauguration). Welcome to police-state USSA. Authorities predict hundreds of thousands of pro-Trump and anti-Trump visitors just within Washington, DC.
Trump has a very long history of grossly exaggerating his successes, ridiculously understating his failures, and shifting the blame to others. He mostly got away with this, because he is an extremely privileged businessman. He is the All-American plutocrat. As the President of America, he should be under much greater scrutiny. Talk about a train wreck in ultra-slow motion.
